The Adventus Group Confirms Pre-Registration with REACH European Regulations

All products in full accordance with current regulatory obligations

LONDON, United Kingdom (January, 2009). The European Regulation REACH1 concerning the production, distribution and use of chemicals within the European Union, has recently entered into force. This regulation provides a series of technical requirements for every company that produces imports or uses chemicals within the EU, or that produces articles that may release substances as part of their normal life cycle.

As a manufacturer/importer of chemical products, Adventus Group is fully compliant with the requirements of REACH. Further details of our pre-registration and compliance information are available from Adventus upon request. The REACH legislation also presents a number of requirements with which the users of chemicals/chemical products are obliged to comply - this would include by definition our European clients/prospective clients. Formal guidance for end users is provided by the European Chemicals Agency (ECHA)2.

We specifically draw your attention to the following responsibilities as specified by the ECHA End User Guidance3:

  • Not to place on the market any substances which are not registered in accordance with REACH.
  • To make sure that your suppliers are aware of REACH and comply with their own requirements under REACH, obtaining a statement to that end with a confirmation that pre-registration has taken place.
  • To follow the instructions in the Material Safety Data Sheets (MSDS) and in the 'exposure scenarios' that may be associated with these, that will be provided by your supplier. Safety information for all our products is available here.
The Adventus Group remains committed to meeting the technical and legal requirements of all our products. All ADVENTUS products have been pre-registered in full accordance with the REACH regulations, thereby allowing their continued use within the EU.

Please note that from 1st December 2008 onward it is illegal to sell or purchase chemicals or chemical products that have not been formally pre-registered under REACH. Please do not hesitate to contact us should you require any further information regarding the REACH regulations or our products or services.
