Remediation Technology Innovator Stephen Koenigsberg Joins Adventus Americas as V.P.
CHICAGO, Ill. (March 15, 2010) — Adventus Americas Inc., a leader in soil, sediment, and groundwater remediation technology, announces that Stephen S. Koenigsberg, Ph.D., has joined the company as Vice President, based in its Corona del Mar, California office. Well-known for his contributions to in situ remediation and site diagnostics, Dr. Koenigsberg will bring Adventus technical advancements in various areas of the environmental sciences. He will also continue his work in evolving integrative programs that support rapid site remediation and closure for what is still a substantial world-wide inventory of environmentally impacted sites.

Dr. Koenigsberg joins Adventus from his recent position as a Principal at ENVIRON, an international environmental consultancy practice. He began his career in environmental remediation as a co-founder and VP for R&D with Regenesis where he co-invented and developed the company’s remediation products. He received his M.S. and Ph.D. from Cornell University and is an Adjunct Professor at the California State University at Fullerton, where he also serves as Chairman of the Dean’s Advisory Council. He has published more than 150 technical articles, books and patents on remediation science and advanced site diagnostics with an emphasis on environmental biotechnology. His industry service includes being a Board member of the AEHS Foundation and an Editor of Remediation.
