 The Adventus
Group is pleased to announce that Mr. John Valkenburg has
joined the organization as a Senior Engineer, based in our
newly established DeWitt, Michigan office. Mr. Valkenburg has
more than 20 years of relevant industry experience - including
5 years as an environmental chemist and over 15 years in environmental
sciences. John has worked on a broad array of environmental
assessment, construction, and remediation projects for both
industrial and governmental clients. His areas of technical
expertise and proficiency include:
- Environmental Remedial Investigations and Feasibility Analyses
- Construction document and specification preparation
- Construction administration
A 1991 graduate of the University of Illinois, John holds a
M.Sc. in Environmental Engineering. He is also a licensed professional
engineer in Michigan, and certified by the Construction
Specifications Institute as both a Construction Document
Technologist (CDT) and a Certified Construction Specifier (CCS).
He has also served as an instructor for numerous CDT programs.
John's principal focus areas with Adventus will include:
- Evaluating and overseeing implementation of Adventus' groundwater-related
site selections. His relevant work experience has included
use of existing Adventus technologies, such as EHC to
successfully remediate contaminated environmental media.
- Advancing Adventus' worldwide distribution partnership with AquaBlok
Ltd. - in which patented AquaBlok technologies are being
integrated with patented Adventus technologies, such as Zero-Valent
Iron (ZVI) and other reactive materials. His work experience
has included relevant sediment remediation projects, providing
clients with a unique insight into potential repeat applications.
