Adventus Announces JISAN Ltd. as Licensee for the Republic of Korea We are pleased to announce that the Jisan Development Company has joined the Adventus international license team as the representative for our technologies in the Republic of Korea. Jisan has been in the site remediation and redevelopment market in South Korea since 2003. Following completion of an intensive training period in Canada earlier this year, Jisan staff are now equipped to offer the full array of services required to implement Adventus technologies for the treatment of a range of contaminants, including treatability studies, process design, implementation, commissioning and monitoring/maintenance. As with our other licensees, Jisan will be able to offer performance warranties for Adventus product applications following appropriate laboratory evaluation and engineering design studies. We will be supporting Jisan on several such applications planned over the next 12 months. Our relationship was announced in Korea in October via a series of presentations on iron permeable reactive barriers, Daramend, EHC, and reactive Aquablok technologies, given by Dr. Robert Gillham of the University of Waterloo and John Vogan, president of Adventus’ EnviroMetal Technologies Inc. (ETI) division. Dr. Gillham and Mr. Vogan were invited speakers at Gyeongsang Technical University in Jinju, the Korea Institute of Geoscience and Mineral Resources (KIGAM) in Daejon, and the Rural Research Institute in Ansan near Seoul. Together with Jennifer Son Brown of ETI, they also visited several mining and petroleum related remediation sites throughout the country. Jisan, located in Busan, is led by Mr. Jong- Rok Park, who can be contacted at +82-51-506-1006.
