Groundwater Solutions
The environmental industry has mounted a tremendous effort to mitigate groundwater contamination. Few successes have been achieved for several reasons including stringent drinking water standards (maximum contaminant levels or MCLs); and pump-and-treat that did not perform as projected. Adventus offers the best available in situ bioremediation and passive barrier technology for restoration of chlorinated solvent impacted soil and groundwater. In most instances it is better than soil vapor extraction, bioventing, surfactants, and two-phase extraction.
mGCW -- microbiologically enhanced vertical groundwater circulation well (mGCW) technology significantly modifies conventional GCW systems to effect the removal of inorganic constituents (e.g., heavy metals and nitrate) and/or accelerate the biodegradation of persistent organic compounds under aerobic (e.g., highmolecular-weight PAHs) or anaerobic (e.g., organic explosives, chlorinated hydrocarbons) conditions.
EHC® -- a controlled-release, integrated carbon and zero valent iron (ZVI) source that yields redox potential (Eh; hence EHC or Redox compound) in the -500 to -650 mV range. EHC comes in a variety of formulations (EHC-L™, EHC-M™ & EHC-O®) to meet the requirements unique to each site.
EHC-M® -- treatment of heavy metals.
EHC-O® -- controlled release oxygen compound.
